going to sign the lease on our new place today.. 2 bed 2 bath townhouse with a 1 car garage in a freakin awesome neighborhood too. My neighbor has a crappy mustang though

I would'a thought with gas$ you have kept the "skittle" must have been a deal you could not refuse. Nice stang though is the Z just not doing for ya?

I still have the Z06. The skittle was only getting about 23-24mpg as long as I stayed out of boost.... Which was never. The Cobra is making almost double the horsepower.... Soon to be over double.... And is getting around the same gas mileage. Both vehicles need premium as well, so.... My insurance even went down. It really was a win-win situation.

The Z06 is just gonna stay stock.... Its too nice of a vehicle to start hacking up. I love the Z06 and still do more then the Cobra.... Thats why the Cobra is the daily and the Z06 just sits there looking pretty. I think I was getting alil tired of the 4cyl turbo sound and was craving a v8 sound again.... So why not get a v8 with a blower on it.... And its a factory one to boot!!!

Jessica was really happy about the switch too!!!

Congrats Sean. They are def a bad *** car. Ford or otherwise. Hard to beat the bang for the buck factor.

Exactly.... For under $2k, I can make the Cobra a 530+rwhp monster.... In a straight line. My longtubes alone for the Z06 were over $1500.... Which would only net me around 380-390rwhp....

So Ill just mod the Cobra for my badass car and keep the Z06 as my "panty dropper" car.... Haha!

level 10 half shafts and all the IRS band aids you really dont need to go straight axle. there are some bad *** IRS cobras out there.

Bullshit.... There are more then a few guys who have broke into the 10s with the IRS. ****, even a few guys were still on the stock clutch when they ran the 10's....

The stock clutch assembly is a very strong unit in these cars.... There are alot of guys with 550-600rwhp still on the stock clutches. That Mystic Chrome one that runs around Hampton was still on the stock clutch up until a 2 weeks ago.... He was running a whipple making like 580rwhp.

Not sure on how much faster you can go with a solid axle, but I know the swap is good for around 100lbs or so.... Shane and Damien are running mid 10's with solid axles with right at 600rwhp....

Horrible.... But the dumdumdumdum wasnt getting good mileage either. Im avg. around 22-23mpg if I keep it out of boost.... Which is so hard to do.

As soon as get my supporting mods installed and get a good tune on it.... Im running an 8lb lower on the stock eaton and its just heat soaks the **** out of it after just one run....

Damian was in the 10s on his IRS too. I tried to look for it last night but I think there are some signal digit IRS cobras.
