My neighbor has a 98 T/A with 78k miles, hooker exhaust, leather, t-tops, A4 etc. for $6k. Any opinions on that? Car looks like it is in good condition. He also drives a 05 vette and is a retired MC in the NAVY.

Car is in pretty decent condition. The guy used to bring his vette to BPS and now goes to a place off of S. Independence in some shopping center. Not sure if he ever brought the red T/A. It has some chips in the paint and some white transfer from a car brushing up against it I assume, but as far as panel wise the car is straight. Interior looked nice. I plan on driving it friday or saturday. Anything I should look at other than tranny shifts and the usual common sense things. I have heard that the 98's had a piston slap?

all LS1s had piston slap, not just 98s. Just look over basic stuff, the car doesnt have that many miles on it, so it should be pretty solid.

Thanks for the heads up. I will give an update asap. Hopefully I can talk him down a bit more, if so I will definately pic it up. I still need to sell my Tahoe for mod money.
