Straight from the VCDL email. Not sure if I will make it, but at least I can get others involved.

ACTION ITEM:

As you might recall, Norfolk paid VCDL member Danladi Moore $10,000
for unlawfully harassing him for openly carrying a gun. The check was
barely in the bank when the Norfolk police did it to him again on a
Norfolk bus, as was detailed in the VCDL mini-update on September 22nd.

You would think that Norfolk would have learned their lesson (don't
forget that Chet Szymecki and his wife, Deborah, each still have
lawsuits against Norfolk in federal court over Chet's unlawful arrest
last year in Norfolk, too).

We need you to join us next Tuesday, October 7th, as we tell City
Council that these repeated violations are not acceptable.

As Ian Fleming wrote in the James Bond novel, "Goldfinger" - "Once is
happenstance, twice is coincidence, the third time is enemy action."

Tidewater - you are great at huge turnouts (we had over 100 last time
we did this). Can we have another big turnout to make sure our
message is clear yet again?

I plan to be there at 6:30 PM and will hand out the "Guns Save Lives"
stickers so all of us will be easily identified as part of the same
group.

If you want to speak, you will need to sign up before the meeting
starts at 7 PM. But even if you don't speak, your presence is
critical to underscore our message that we expect Norfolk to respect
our rights. I will ask those who agree with me to stand during my
comments.

It will be interesting to see if City Councilman Riddick will
shamefully turn his back on his constituents and leave the room like
he did the last time we tried to redress our grievances over this same
issue.

If anyone has a simple fix for the door handle screw please let me know(interior). Mine is stripped, there has to be a plastic insert or metal clip that I can use. It is getting to be a PITA.

A screw will probably be a temporary fix.... Only. You might want to just get a whole new door handle piece.... You can buy them from the Chevy dealer for pretty cheap actually.

Just a thought.

I have the screw. It will not screw into the metal frame. I am assumming it's stripped. I figured there was a clip that is missing or that I could buy.

I got a response for JB weld and drill another hole. So I will try that.

Another question, where is the best place to get a key made and an additional key fob? I only received one set of keys with the car. I thought about a new alarm but I really hate spending the money on one.

keyfobs are wayyyy pricy at a dealership! just buy the keyfob from ebay (i did) for like $20 and there is instructions on hwo to program them to your car. I got my extra set of keys @ the dealership for pretty cheap.

Your keyfob wont work on base though, strange, but everyone i know has the same problem unless its an aftermarket security system

Had a blast at the LSx Shootout.
The drive sucked, but was worth it.

I have about 600 pics and 4-5GB of Vids I still have to go thru.
