I'm thinking about going for a motorcycle license here in New Jersey. I know that I probably won't have to take a road test if I take a motorcycle safety class and pass it. I also know that there are two types of classes. First, there's a free one offered by the state and, second, there are fee-based ones offered by places like Camden County College and Farleigh Dickinson University. These fee-based classes are $250. Besides the fact that one is free and the other isn't, does anybody know any other differences between the two types of classes? Are the fee-based ones any better? And how often can the free classes be taken? Thanks in advance for the info.

Take the NJ one.
It is free and they provide the bike too!
It is offered in two locations.
Sea Girt & another one (I can't remember right now.)
In the advanced class you use your own bike, but it to is free too!
I know people that have taken both and really seem to enjoy them.
I have taken the advanced course.
You get a discount on your motorcycle insurance too!
