Default Dynoed my car & ran it

I have been so busy, I think I forgot to post this.

Anyways I got the normal bolt-ons done, SLP lid, FTRA, underdrive pulley, ported TB, pacesetters into cats, stock cat-back w/ electric DMH cut-out, Vig 3600, hoosier 255-50-16 drag radials.

With the convertor locked it made 350 rwhp & 360 lb/ft of torque. I was pleased with that but dynos aren't my thing.

Two weeks ago I went to Rockingham dragway and ran the car. It was completely full weight & jack & spare still in it etc. I weigh 185 lbs (190 lbs when I have a boner) so I figure the raceweight was ~ 3530-3550 lbs or so.

The weather was ok, I'm not sure what the DA was but it was a bit warm but about as good as you can expect for May in North Carolina. The track itself is a few hundred feet above sea level. The hoosier drag radials hook incredibly well. The car went 12.2 @ 109.XX MPH w/ consistent high 1.6 short times. I was a litle disappointed as I was hoping for 11s even in the weather and at full weight but I guess I can't complain. Drivability is excellent, I love being able to push the button and make the car very quiet.

I hope to run the car again in much better weather and maybe I will take out the jack/spare and throw some pro-stars up front and make a run at the 11s. I have no plans to do anything else to the car at this point....

Excellent times for what you have done. Looks like that vig 3600 is working well for you.

Thats an 11sec car no doubt. I'd take a little weight out of her before it gets too hot out.

Too late. The summer is already here. It will be in the upper 80s / low 90s for the rest of the week and we probably won't see better weather again until mid October.

The car actually seemed to be bogging with the Vig 3600 a bit and the convertor is definately not very efficient on the highway. Nailing it at 60 MPH just doesn't feel all that strong IMO.

GOD love those Auto's, they do amazing times.

Just touching on a few of those points....

Weight- Seems to be on the mark. I am not sure of the m6 vs a4 difference. Buddies of mine both have 02 Camaros, m6, Moser 12 bolts, nothing to make it lighter and they weighed their cars it came out to 3480 w/o them in it (they do have some minor option differences but whatever they did equals them out). One weighs 185 and the other is about 145, So the guy who weighed 185's car is 3665. Not that is a huge issue, actually if its heavier then your est. its more of a bragging right. If you can find a truck scale. Its always good to know.

Weather- Yea, summer is here. Up at Lebenon Valley Dragway where we average around 1800 to 2000 DA CONSISTANTLY. That is about as good as it gets. Down in NC, you have to be hotter and more humid then us. Before memorial day I went the friday before and we had a day of 60 to 65 deg, 1400 DA, and a NASTY 10 mph head wind. I then went this past Sunday with JL-ws6 and that was the day the car got put on the bumper. It was between 75-80 depending if the sun got out.

I wouldnt expect to break in the 11's w/o more power, less weight, better air, OR gears. I assume you have the stock 3.23's

The search for 11's- Definitly easy things you can do is some skinnes up front on some light weight welds that would be good. Mind your, your 10 bolt is on borrowed time, running 1.6's on a auto is going to break it at some point. I would also like you to consider a gear ratio change. That will take up some of the slop when you drive and I bet it will hit harder at the track. BUT again, your nearing redline on that rear. Its going to be weight or power thats going to get you over the 11's. OR you do like everyone else does.

Mid January @ atco.....

Great job on the times!

I don't have an issue with drivability of the Vig 3600, I just don't think its very efficient @ WOT from a roll. I know this isn't news to anyone, ans the Yanks are generally known to be more efficient. But the Yanks do cost a bit more and seem to take out trannies a bit quicker. Aside from some minor weight removal I have no plans to do anything else to this car and LS1LT1 knows why. You guys know I go through cars quickly and I'm at the point to where I'm ready to spend a little money and get something I really really want....

This thing is a blast on the street from a stop. It comes real close to dead hooking on the hoosiers from a light.

I suckered a couple young kids into a run from a stop light a few weeks back in an '05+ GT. It was comical.

But I definately agree, anything besides a dead stop and an M6 is a lot more fun.

I am a fan of tasteful weight reduction but I also now understand why some are resistant to go nuts with it, it's a street car not a dune buggy.

The VIGI's do give up alittle bit under throttle and so does a Yank
Its no biggie, just dont roll race over 45MPH

I wouldve probably gone VIG 3200 but the VIG 3600 is a bad azz verter..I liked it better than my PT4400 but that one PT4200 Yank built me was bad to the bone..

Go to a 3200 if u think it'll be better,I think u would like it just the same.

If u wanna leave it I would put a TR224 (112LSA) in the car
It'll fly, sound badazz and be so streetable...

Whatever u do the car is impressive just the way it sits...
U built a well thought out setup buddy

Well I just read this... well most of the rambling and talking about how KennyH retains water when he gets a "BONER" just doesnt seem as appealing as it used to be especially when you have WS6crossdresser01 in here too.

Kenny sorry to hear the car ran like **** and put out **** poor #'s on the dyno and the track. At no point was the car fast or respectable. The car obviously has a severe case of terrets syndrome and a mild case of herpes on the tires. So go to Alex's buddy Jenny Craig, pop some Lavetra and rub it till it runs a 11second pass. Then and only then will my sensless, nonsensical ramblings going in circles with large anus beads falling from the rainbow room, all while yelling "HOUSE KEEPING" on the phone to strangers in the nite. I"M DONE HERE!!!!! PFFFFFFFFFFFFft whatever!
