Sounds good, if you know anywhere where I can get rims to buy or try.

What about LCA relocation brackets? I'm suprised no one mentioned those.. despite that he asked about tires

Well, I have Spohn's LCA's with solid connectors. Do many run the relocation brackets, I was told they dont help with a car with stock ride height.

That has a way better chance IMO of holding then the radial does, the radial will work if your suspension is really well set up, but for a starting point, I would do a bias ply tire. You put them on, and it will pretty much work, put a radial on, it might work.

Sidewall is your friend, the 15 inch rim, wether you do a radial or a bias ply will make all the difference.

You don't have to spend the big $ on bogarts, convo pro's will clear on the front and the 8 inch wide ones will clear on the rear with no grinding. Not the ideal rear rim width, but it's miles better then messing with 17inch tires on a drag car.

I know a little bit, but not everything by any means.

Was able to get Joe from a 12.3 to a 11.9 though with no weight out or added power

I've heard differently. I don't have the experience of using them personally. But if you put the LCA's on the brackets at a low hole, the forward motion should also provide a downward force on the axle, aka forcing the tires downward to the pavement.

Usually some people recommend the relo brackets when you lower the car to correct the LCA angle. I don't have them on my lowered car, and it actually helps the car maintain stability around high speed turns for me.

well, I went with the impossible to find MT et street radials 315/35/17 (got em on ebay and overpaid but)
If that dont work than I'll have to get some 15" rims hopefully the famous greg welds that dont require me to grind my rear breaks will be available then... we'll see!

Bogarts will clear no grinding, convo pro's will also clear with no grinding as well.

If you want to run a #, just get the 15 inch setup on the car now because the 17 inch radials aren't gonna get you there.

so...The Bogarts are the only ones that make a 15"x10" wheel that'll fit w/o grinding!?!?

Can I put the 26x11.5x15 Hoosier qtp's on a 15"x8.5" 5" bs convo pro? Do you think I would have to roll the fender lip?

you can fit a 27x11.5 qtp on a bogart with no grinding at all. I would think a 26 would fit easier, the rim being narrower is gonna make the sidewall's come in some and make the tire more like a bubble, but it should still fit. Get a set of 26x10.5 instead of the 11.5 and I"m sure it will be fine.

I don't think you will have to roll the lip with that backspacing/tire size. I know bogarts fit with no grinding, I know the 8 inch wide convo will fit with no grinding. Those are the only 2 I know of that fit without grinding the caliper yes.

If you haven't bought the tires yet and don't have to have a DOT tire, I'd go with a strait slick. ET drag 26x10 will work pretty good, and if you're worried about running our of gear, m/t makes a 28x9 inch et drag which is actually about 27 inches tall, and they work a little better (more sidewall)
