The wait is almost over....
Personally I suggested just doing what was needed to fit the big magnacharger or a kenny bell on it when the conversion gets done, but I know that won't make the budget. He's talking about doing a tub job on it right away now becasue I told him the 10 bolt rear is not gonna last (as every f body guy already knows) so now he wants to start off by getting the whole chassis done first and he wants to tub the rear of it so a big *** tire can go on.
To quote the guy " I want tires like pro stock cars run so it will hook everywhere"
I kinda laughed, because he doesn't really know much about cars but he wants to start a project, I don't think he understands what it is that he's getting into. I told him get the truck done first, and wait to do the motor last.
I talked to the guy 15 min ago (kid I work with at my new job) he'a asking about a 4 link for the rear now LOL, wants to know if that get good traction and if he can drive it around.
I told him to call the chassis shop and talk to them about the $ he's looking at to do this stuff and see if he still wants to do it. I know that he has the truck, I've seen it and it's in primo shape, and he doesn't need it for a daily so I guess he might be serious, but I'm starting to have my doubts.
He stopped by my house after work one day, heard my car start and that was it now he wants something with a big motor that's fast

I tried to explain that it's not really that fast but he wasn't hearing it.

Very nice!
that 56 in the background looks good
5.3 in a S10, that would be a cool ride for the winter, prolly on the cheap too
