Default Any Grilling or Smoking Fanatics??

I have always been a fan of BBQ. I personally can prob eat it for a meal 7 times a week.

Due to time constrants for the last couple of years I have been practicing with a propane fired grill but using indirect heat, I have been able to make some of the best chicken ever..... No hockey pucks here!!

I love ribs and I tend to get them everytime I go out, but I really wanted to do it myself.

My loving wife got me for my recent birthday a Weber Smokey Mountian Smoker.

Here is a website dedicated to everything about it.....

http://www.virtualweberbullet.com/

I swear if people arent car fanatics, they are food fanatics.

In the North East, its hard to find good BBQ, and now I can have it in the comfort of my own home!!

I'll be prob doing some pork butts up 1st

but there are some good chicken recipes so I can do some pulled chicken

Or some

RIBS!!

Lastly, here is a forum.... that I will be using.

http://forum.texasbbqrub.com/

Sorry to make everyone hungry. We need to spread the word, Grillin and Smoking is a good thing!!

I've had what I think is real good BBQ ribs and chicken at a place called "Curtis's BBQ" in Putney, Vt. right at the Rt. 5 exit off interstate 91. It's been there a long, long time...a outside joint, open from April-Nov. WJ

I do like Texas Roadhouse's Ribs, I know they gotta get some premium cuts of pork ribs, I have been told Sam's Clubs is a great place to start looking.

I agree, a real BBQ place acutally just a small building and a smoker lol. I drove down to FL 3 weeks ago and I saw exactly what you mean. I was near Darlington and saw a nice joint right off the free way.

MMMM BBQ

I have to admit BBQ'ing is one of my most favorite things to do. I really need to get a nice smoker. When I do ribs now I cook em' in the oven for about 3 hrs low heat sitting in apple juice. Then I finish em off and baste on the grill.

BTW Weber is good stuff, I used to sell em' when I was in college.

Yea, I never did much stuff in the oven but I did get a killer steak and chicken when I used the propane grill.

I just need a few more things. I am going to get some pork butt and its going to be glorious!!!

Yeah, when we did power tour in the south we hit every possible bbq joint. One in Nashville and the swamps of florida were the best. Best pulled pork I had was south carolina. I dont even venture into ones north of MD. I can cook like a **** so I just make whatever I want. Shoulder with the skin attached might be my fave.

Yea, there should be a site for that!!

Get some Charcol Grill Vs Propane Grill: Who would win??!?

Def man, I have my wife going up to Stu today, she is going to do some looking. Beef Brisket takes some time, it will be one of those all nighters.

Maybe we work on apperance mods or something LOL.

My bro learned how it's done down in MD. He became so good at it that his brisket won first prize in a huge bbq competition down there. It was damn tasty, but I actually prefer his pulled pork shoulder. It takes all day to make but it is so good.
