I have tried to turn slotted and drilled rotors before and never had any luck turning them! When the bits drag accross and begin to cut into a slot or hole it chatters then snaps the bits.
Even cutting them .001" at a time it tears the bits up.

To my knowledge everyone I've talked to has the same luck BUT there has to be some way to true them up. Although I would think that the whole purpose of the slots and holes would be that so the rotors won't warp!

i am hopping someone knows how too. the drivers side rotor is fine. I get a hell of a squeaking noise out of the passenger side one and I cannot turn the wheel freely once I get everything bolted up in place. I get no pulsing just the noise. I checked the hub and it turns freely with no problem. so the next thing I thought would be the rotor.

Did they grind them or cut them with a bit?

they cut them with a bit. and they didnt break any of them. they just took off very little at a time. just like you would on a normal rotor

I have bigger issues now. after putting it all back together the passenger side rotor sticks. it has been doing this ever since I got the rotors I just figured they needed to be turned. so I purchased a new caliper and I test fitted it with no success. it is like the rotor is too thick. any info would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

They weren't still under warranty? I had a set of Decelarotors, they had a 3 year warranty, they cracked out from the drilled sections. Went to Autozone, stated you would hope Baer would have made a better product, got my new set and ebay'd them, went for enough to pay for my Brembo blanks and HPS pads.

Damn man so your saying the rotor is hitting the caliper, or its too tight with pads on ? what pads are u using? The stock TA pads are too small you need corvette pads.

what I found out is that once I put the new rotors on the caliper was sticking. well the caliper bracket was slightly bent. not enough that i could see but it was 1.5mm off causing the caliper to stick. so I went to napa and ordered a caliper and caliper bracket set for $55.

i got them used on the board. but they are good no problems with them. i must have been a little harder on the stock ones than I thought causing the caliper bracket to warp.

drilled and slotted don't really offer that much in terms of performance. You are losing surface area, more surface area = better braking. Just go get yourself a set of blanks and throw them on there instead of wasting your time with these.
