Default GTO caught fire tonite

So I was on my way home from work/ hanging out when I was just outside hilliard and the car started acting like it didn't want to run. So I pull over and the car dies and I start to see smoke coming from under the hood. I didn't waste any time getting my vehicle information and getting the hell out of it before something happened. Firemen came and put out the fire after the whole front end melted off and from what I saw I think this may be a total loss. If it is that means I'm 0 for 2 on GTOs some I'm gonna give up on them after this.
At least I came out okay. I'll try and get some pics in the morning when it gets towed to the shop

Here is a link I started in another forum about GTO fires....I wouldn't be surprised if this fire here wasn't from the same issue.

I haven't heard anything about the car yet but I did get a few pics that I'll post up later. From what I've been reading I think it might be what others have went through with the fuel line rubbing on the FRC and spraying fuel everywhere. And for the guy that asked about the first it went into a deep *** ditch and drowned. I would call Josh my phone still isn't working. I've still got those 2 stock wheels at home if you want them

WTF is up with GTO's???

GTO owners, you guys better look into this! Don't get shafted if there could be some money that should go your way... I think there may be something defective with a significant portion of them... That is to say, I mean they might not be isolated... Look at what JUST happened to a member of our local car club:

I wish I would have known about the problem before. I hope the insurance company doesn't try to give me any crap about this. The police didn't file any kind of report either. Does that sound right to you guys?

Matt you should always get a police report in any accident especially one like this. Your insurance company is gonna try and find a way to not pay for it without it.
