Brings back memories that were buried deep.
68 Firebird 4 speed. Hit 2 nd gear and something went bang.
Rear end locked up and car could only be pushed backwards.
So it was pushed back to the side of track at staging lane
and I crawled under it to remove broken pinion gear(broke in half at the splines). Took me all night to get it out, working right next to the cars running.Kinda weird seeing all the cars at eye level from under the car.
Ill bet they wouldnt let you do that today!
Ive got a spare 342 posi rear sans brakes if you need it.

ok so all I need is an axel! If someone has an axel that has the reluctor ring on the end for the speed sensor, please please let me know ASAP! Rental car is costing too much and I'm not paying over $250 for a new one

Yeah man, I like the staggered stance on the formula, doesn't look as good on a T/A, but our cars pull it off. I did the heater hose mod in the rear to drop it some and give it more tucked look. I just picked up a set of ZR1's, you prob saw them on KC's, but theres another local member selling a set w/ M/T's in the rear. It was cool meeting you guys and thanks for helping Kelly out there.

I have a 10 Bolt with low miles. 3.42 and a 3 channel. for $350
That might you back on the road until you can get a stronger rear, then resale the 10 bolt.
