Need new trans or rebuild in PC I live in winter haven and i am looking for someone or someone u guys can recommend me to. I don't really want a built tranny that holds 550+ hp because i don't really need that. I just want one that will hold around 400 safely...
I was thinking how much can the stock trans hold? Is it worth just rebuilding this one??

If you have access to a shop and can do the work yourself the parts needed are about 300 dollars total plus your time. Primarily the Hyper Z 3-4 clutch pack.
If your not able to do it yourself then get ready to pay a little less than a grand to have a mechanic do it I'd figure. The hyper z pack is the primary thing on a T/A putting out 470 horse and 475 torque and it's yet to fail. So just a suggestion.

upgrade your weaksauce pump to a 13 vane
Add a few extra clutches and steels in the pack (I prefer alto red eagle)
upgrade the band and use a new drum
upgrade the stock p.o.s sunshell gear
upgrade to a 5 pinion planetary
upgraded servo
stiffer 1-2 accumulator spring
trans go jr
Aluminum forward clutch accumulator piston
newer style 29 element sprag
deep pan and a huge *** tranny cooler
remember heat kills
