Default Jobs in FL?

Probably a dumb question with the sucky economy but I have an itch to get down there quick. Whats the job market like down there for Management? My brother and I have an LLC which provides a good part of my income so I'm not too worried about it but I'd like something in addition, especially straight out of college, don't want to go too long without getting in something right out of school.

I'm sure its not a great market but surely there are somethings, do you guys know of any good agencies down there or anything? Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks!

My advice to you is that competition is tough here. Everyone wants to move to Florida and find a job. Most companies will not pay to relocate you here unless you have some good experience. That being said, there are jobs here but I would search the area you want to work in before you move. I have seen many move down only to leave because they either didn't find a job, or weren't making the money they expected.

The job market is a little rough right now. The wage scale is lower here than most other states and there are very few good jobs. The job section of the tampa tribune used to be 10-15 pages long now its 2-3. The weathers nice

Hey man deff think twice about making the change and coming down here. Make sure you for sure have a job lined up, because its almost impossible to find jobs here. I work in a hospital, but my brothers have been without a job forever and still tryin to find work. The car industry has taken a **** nap, my family does interior work and business is horrible. This is all around the daytona area. Anyways just shootin you a heads up.. good luck

Symantec just hired on a round folks to train them in their technology environment. Not sure what it consistes of, however, they might be kicking around management hires in Lake Mary ... worth a look, I'd say.

I'd check around where a lot of new stuff is opening. My Mom just lost her job as a custodian at a school, but we have a Target that is opening up next month, she got hired on right away.

Perhaps look for new businesses just opening up that can fit whatever you are qualified to do.

I'm with Corey. A few new Publix opening up around the state and you can hardly beat the benfits ... their managers make some awesome salaries.

BTW ... good to see you around Corey.

I almost forgot about this thread. Thanks for all the input guys! I've been looking around but nothing really has come up yet, but then my effort isn't all there. I don't plan on anybody paying to relocate me, I can handle that on my own. I'll keep looking, thanks, and for those of you not doing so hot I wish you the best of luck getting back in the game!

Well, if all else fails, you can bang 1000 fat chicks for $50 apiece..... or 50 REALLY fat chicks for $1000.

Job market is tough in florida. I wouldnt move here right now, just wait 6-12months until the government jobs start to kick in. I was just layed off a month ago and Im an engineer. I have found a few openings but there is so much competition that you need to have alot of experience. New grads wont find work right now unless you are a minority, not to insult anyone but its true. They always ask if your male or female and what ethnic group. I have also heard that Publix is a good place to look but Im not there yet...give it 6months and Ill be ready to sweep up trash.
good luck
