Default Stang

Yeah, I'll give ford credit. At least they've contiued production with it as gm sat on their ***. Stopped production of the f bodies and produced the same ol **** for too long.

The G8 is a nice ride n now their cutting the Pontiac name tag. ?

The GTO was, ok but they offered is in just a few configs.

The SSR was neat but high price and not practical for everyone.

Hopefully that will change with the new camaro. I finally seen one on the highway yesterday coming back from St. Louie in I 70

BTW, have any idea what the 427R designation means? Prolly 427 ponies?

Anyway, it's still prolly a heavy pig, LOL...

Yeah 4K+ (IIRC), the are PIGs! The GT500 SS with 100+HP over the ZR1 is still underpowered due to its weight.

Technology has come way to far for a car like the GT500 to weigh in as much at it does. Ford will always **** up their cars one way or another, they will never offer a "Perfect" car.

Yep ... about what most average bolt-on/cammed cars are making around town here. Not real weak for a production car, but, overpriced to say the least.

So for an extra 16K you get a wooping 135HP, woooo, scary. What a waste. And my money is on the fact that it is all at the crank, which might give it 365 to 375 at most at the wheels. Ya I would say weaksauce is an understatement. Would love to see what it can do, in the rearview mirror.

Be an easy kill for you for sure. Chicks dig 'em because they look fast with the stickers/decals. That's about all I can see they have going for them, except they have a strong driveline, so, you can put more power to them without driveline upgrades.

I thought the GT500SS was marketed towards the Z06?

The GT500s are beginning to be a dime a dozen. See them all the time. I have seen more convertibles that hardtops too??!! WTF?? Usaually with a 60 something driver behind the wheel.

Not the Super Snake. Now granted, it should be marketed towards the Z06 since it is so underpowered to it own weight ratio, but @ $150K+ they would not match it with a "common" Z06 even though the Snake would have a better advantage in beating it over its Chevy counter part, the ZR1.

You must be referring to the the Basic GT500. I was talking about the GT500 Super Snake.

Camaro is the only way to go. Nice looking car.

Ford must have stole GM's idea about getting cars out in the field to test them in real world issues instead of the test track. Man GM is smart. Ford was always a follower of GM, on that subject.

the roots blower on the roush cars are terrible and develop no decent amount of torque and they fall on their face towards the end of third and fourth gear. altough it is a good and decent looking car they still aren't any match to the camaro.
