Its times like this, is when I miss my 2000 T/A!!! Oh well.

 

Come out anyways. I will at the bare min be driving the 91', possibly the 72'. Don't care if some 4th Gen eletist doesn't approve. It's all about the hobby/common interest.

 

I'm bringing the LS7, hopefully my dad comes up from Miami in his Z06, if not he'll be tagging along with me.

 

I live in Maitland, may swing by. Is there decent food there? I "know" the owner of Route 46 Entertainment District right down the road, so if it starts to take off I'm sure he'd let you all do your thing there. Just a thought

EC Nova - can you tell us more about that place? I'm sure as a group, we'd all like to go somewhere that we feel welcome and the food/service is good.

 

The food there is great... the service.... well that depends on the night haha.

However, Don, the owner, is a HUGE car fanatic. If any of you were at the concours de elegance on park ave this year then you saw his 1400hp orange Ford pickup.

The guy that used to live in the apartment below me works for him, building custom hot rods/etc.

I'd have to get with him to see how he would feel about it, I know usually the place draws the older crowd, Harleys, old school hot rods and such, so I don't know if he would be up to hosting a (usually) younger crowd.

I guess we just need to judge the size and demeanor of the group that will be frequenting the big boys then decide if it would be practical/useful to relocate there.

We only had 6 cars show up tonight, nothing stellar - but it's a start. Saw a few people drive by, but not stop. Tenatively planning for the 18th of next month.

 

Dude, six is awesome! We started with 3 and two of the cars belonged to me !

When did you guys start getting there? Obviously, I was the first one there, and the first one to leave.

 

I did not take any pictures, the lighting was poor. The manager is going to work on that sitation for us. (a few of the lights were off or burned out in the parking lot) I told a few people there last night you were comming next month and they were in total disbelief.

 

I arrived about 9:30-ish, there were already three other people there when I rolled in. Then we had two more cars show up about 10-15 minutes after I got there.

 

It was nice to get back out and talk to fellow car people. I just hope it is still around in a year so I can actually drive a car up there. It would also be nice if more people came and I wasn't so fu**in tired...lol. I also think 8:00-8:30 is a litle better time because they close at 11:00 and the manager didn't seem like she wanted use to be there when she left. I think it's because of that guy with the third gen. That guy's a real A$$ hole...lol

 

I was there @ 9:20 and stayed until the end. Nice to hang out with some good company, even if it wasn't a huge turn out or good lighting. I think it has potential. Its just finding more people to participate.

 

It all just takes time.. It'll get there.

No pics as mentioned before. I brought my camera, but the parking lot lighting was so terrible. The flash wouldn't pick much up on its own.

 

FYI - December 18th is the next one. I'm going to shoot for 8:45 - 9pm this time, being that they close at 11pm.
