Ok, my Mom let you change the intake manifold gasket on her V6. She trusted you. We bought the parts etc…
You give the car back ticking like a mother ******.
We take it to a local mechanic, he tears down the motor and finds a BOLT in the ******* motor.
A bolt the same size as the ones on the intake manifold.
The bolt was smooth in some spots, because it was in there for a while banging around, hence the loud ticking noise.
So if you didn’t do it, I guess we have a magic 3800 that ***** bolts.
It cost her $1400 that she didn’t even ******* have. She was nice and said she would be happy if you paid half. You still didn’t pay.
Also, my car is almost completely stock.
Stock Manifolds, Stock Transmission, Stock Torque Converter, Stock Motor, etc…
I hope I see you at the corner Saturday.

The only reason I haven’t kicked your *** is because my Mom said she didn’t want anymore trouble.

not trying to be a dick, but you let someone who is practically a stranger work on your moms car... off the books, in a driveway. If **** went wrong, that's part of the gamble of not taking the car into a shop to get it done on paper. I'm sure if the tables were turned, you probably would have done the same thing to him had things went wrong.
So you're gonna do what about it? Kick his ***? Then the $700 he "owes you" means nothing because once you're bailed out of jail, his personal injury attorney will dry your wallet out real quick.
If I were you, I'd count my losses and learn from my mistake.

wel let me break some bad news to you. no matter what the problem is or who its with, the corner is not a place to deal with it by fighting. most people there will not put up with it. we go there to relax after along work week, and just hang with friends. inless you can handle this with out fighting i suggest you drop it, or deal with it away from the corner.

I would never do that, I would pay if I knew I did it.
Especially if the person said I only had to pay half.
It’s just so obvious he did it, and he won’t pay or even admit it.
