You now have just over 1-1/2 weeks to get your pre-registration in (remember you can register the day of the show as well). We have over 850 cars and trucks registered as of this point; hope you can come out and join us for a great day!

We're just under 900 cars pre-registered, but remember can always register on Saturday morning. Just be there before 10 a.m., and the weather is supposed to be great!
Hope to see you there!

Show was, nice, but above says over 900 registered, but I thought Rick only announced a bit over 500 were there, if so, what a let down, not to mention if any of those under the 500 pre- reg. mark that got the free tickets and didn't go, made the ones over the 500 pay. Not sure, if those #'s are correct, why there were so many cars that didn't show, weather was great.
Oh well, still had a good time.
Thanks NPD.
See ya next year.

The final pre-registration count was 897. The final attendance on Saturday was 560.
As mentioned, we always have a certain percentage that don't show for both this show and the Ford and Mustang Round Up in January (around 25-33%). Remember, NPD doesn't make a penny off this show, and Rick pays for all the help NPD provides, the awards, etc etc out of his own pocket as his contribution back to the car hobby.
Silver Springs gives you a BIG discount for two people @ $21 versus the standard rate of $29.99 per person. And since most car shows with decent size fields and awards charge some kid of entry fee....
The idea of giving out the unclaimed "free spots" that fail to show is a great idea in theory, but having people line up until 10 a.m. until the regular registration / check-in period is over, then sorting it all out would mean we couldn't park a few hundred cars inside the park since the park would then be open to regular spectators and the possibility of an accident and taking a VERY LONG TIME to inch those cars into the park. We can't risk the park's insurance or an accident.
I'll say we are looking into the possibility of keeping tabs on people that register early to get a free spot, then become constant no-shows every year.
As also mentioned, the weather was great and the quality of cars in attendance was awesome! If I didn't get a chance to meet you in person, my apologies as I'm always running around with stuff to do at the show.
Hope you can join us next year!

guilty on this one, but mine was due to a nice lady with a Jaguar that decided to rear end me a few weeks back, car is still in the shop being worked on, otherwise I would have loved to come out... for what its worth, things do happen, and plans do change... When I registered for the show it was back in June, now three months later unforseen events occur, and I am stuck with no car to attend a show...
Also Guilty for the first time, since the Show's inception.
