anything more than the stock TB is overkill. I'm swapping my FAST 92mm Big Mouth for a stock one this evening actually. powdercoat. if you wanna bring your parts to Jax i can get us a good deal if we bring a ton of stuff in. I was thinking Gloss Black or maybe Silver. I have lots of things (i.e. compressor covers, piping, radiator hoses, valve covers, engine covers, intake, TB, elbow, etc.) and it gets cheaper the more you bring him.

post some pics when you get that intake elbow installed. i wanna see how much you had to cut to get it to work. I am thinking about getting it

You might be waiting a little while as the motor should be out this week im waiting on my rod bolts and some gaskets to get here so i can drop it in and slap it back together....

hell i may have mine in before you get yours in. i just got one today. I hope i do not have to cut my hood. I'm just gonna run my Ultra low profile at the dyno next month at 15 psi then swap over to the low profile and see how much it helps

Well i atleast got the motor out today im still waiting on my new Spohn solids motor mounts to show up.....

Im also hoping to swap the cam in the new motor along with the oil pan and then i should be able to drop the new shortblock in next week!

Ehh it's getting there yesterday i degreased the engine bay/installed new motor mounts/painted manifolds and did some other odds and ends......

Well i was a little busy today and got the oil pans swapped and decided to to just drop the motor in!






Mocked up the new heads......





Went to throw the Vic. Jr. on and needed to cut a little bit of the cowl.....



After cutting.....








Stock truck manifolds on i notched the k-member but it wasnt enough ill have that finished up over the weekend......






Keep in mind this is all mock up im still waiting for crap to arrive sooner or later this thing will be done!

Well i went and bought my buddys Precision 76mm .81 backside i figured it was a little better unit then the Master Power.......

hell yeah i should have went with THAT elbow!!! i still have the Ultra Low profile and i hate it. that .81 backside is gonna work perfect on the 5.3 but get a bigger backhousing when you go bigger cubes

That dp will be re routed as im going to have it exit thru the bumper on the drivers side before the tire!

And no that elbow wont clear lol....

it may sound crazy but have you tried fitting that radiator in yet? you just may have enough room to make it work. jsut curious though.
