Manual Transmission
I would like any suggestions to which brands I should look into for a manual transmission. Ive always had an automatic because I have bracket raced my entire life, but I want to have fun driving my car since its a daily driver. Ive been wanting a 6 speed for years and now finally I can afford one bc I am a college grad! I just have no idea which brands are the best. My car isnt fast (just bolt ons, runs 12.60s-80s), but within the next few years I would like to do some engine upgrades so I would like my trans to be prepared.. I already have a Moser 9 inch... Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Im not selling my car...I am asking for suggestions on what is a good manual trans

No i mean keep the auto and buy a 6 speed car they are almost as cheap as doing the conversion.A good 6 speed is the one out a 05 GTO OR 1 that has been rebuilt w/ all good parts.

Sounds like you build things to be a one time thing, so find a core you could send to Tick to get built right and strong from the get go. Or find a built one with receipts on here already. The stock T56 is plenty strong and mine lasted me 185k brutal miles. You could find a stock one, drive it til something finally lets go and send it in. I had lost 5th and 6th gear in mine, but like I said, 185k miles and 15 years, not bad for a transmission.
