I will be moving from Tampa to Lakeland in December. Whats the F-Body scene like out there? Are there any forum members that meet up and cruise ect?

hey man im in winter haven which is like 15 mins away names mike. theres a few of us in winter haven that meet up at publix on cypress gardens. decently quick cars man. sc mach 1 nasty vette couple of camaros and trans ams when are you moving.

I dont know how quick or clean my LT1 SS is compared to some of your rides out there, but I would come out to Publix for sure! The SS is my daily driver, but also a "rescue" project. The previous owner was all about fun and no maintenance.

My girlfriend surpised me for Christmas by renting me a garage at our new apartment complex in Lakeland. So i'll finally have a palce to get some restorations and mods done.

what nights you guys meet up? im down in sebring, and theres not much going on here... but i woprk nights, so its a bitch to get to shows/races...

Yeah that would be awesome. She is in BAD need for some suspension and break work. I may need to replace the OPTI before the suspension though.

It sounds crazy, but I would like to replace atleast one OPTI in my lifetime so i can actually know what I'm talking about when everyone else says "its a major pain in the ***."

But this is my daily driver and I cant afford to have it out of commission for too long. So for this go around I'll have a mechanic replace the OPTI. Are there any good shops around the lakeland area that any of you have a good personal car history with?

F-body scene in Lakeland is dead. 15-18 second ricers outnumber 12 second domestics 140:1. I haven't been to the Winter Haven F-body meet @ Cypress Gardens Publix yet but hopefully I check it out soon.
