Default Anyone here go to auto auctions?

I'm trying to buy a DD and the one I was suppose to go get fell through. I'm looking to buy a Nissan Titan. All the people i knew with dealers lisences are out of the business. Im set and ready to go with a loan, just need to find the truck. If anyone here goes to the auto auctions here in Orlando let me know and you'd be doing me a huge favor. I needed this car 2 weeks ago.

KC, why a Titan? You know I had one, I also only got 14-16 mpg with that beast and had to have the whole rear axle replaced (under warranty), rear seals leaked at the axles and E-Lock Diff was not engaging properly.
IMO, not a good DD unless you are doing contrator work.
Look into the Nissan Frontier '05+ and up. My buddy Rob around the corner from ya was getting 20+ mpg in his '07 crew cab. Same v-6 that was in the Xterra you rented that one time, 250hp/265tq. Plusssssss, your insurance will probably spike as well. Back in the day when gas was $4/gallon, I would drop over $100 bucks into the Titan just to fill it up. Its already over $3 right now, and summer is coming up, rumor is gas is supposed to spike again.
Drop me a line if you have any questions about a Titan. I miss mine, but dont miss the extra $$$$ I had to throw at it.
Plus with your 408 in build, you'll be losing $$$$.

My dad goes weekly, SVT focus's and F-bodies aren't too common. My dad is very selective on what he gets as well. But I'll take a peek at the upcoming lists to see if anything is coming up.

Well Steve, here's where I stand. I can't do the T/A as a DD anymore not to mention it can only carry 1 other person comfortably. I've had the T/A as a DD FOR 6+ years, so I don't care about gas obviously lol so I need something that will fit 5 nicely. I won't get that from a Frontier. But I need a truck because I'm always getting car parts and right now need to bring my engine to a machine shop and go puck up a new exhaust so a car won't do. I don't want to put an engine in an SUV. So I've been looking in-between Titans and Avalanches. The titans I'm finding for good prices with low miles, avalanches all seem to have 120-170k miles on them.

I appreciate anyone that can help. I needed to have this 2 weeks ago so the sooner the better. Looking to spend $10-11k out the door and as mentioned I have the loan done and ready to go.

Gotcha, well good luck with your search, a NiceTitan w/ less than 100k miles for 10-11k will be hard to find. Only place will be an auction for sure. There are quite alot up here in ATL. What happened to your motor btw?

Anyone do the insurance auctions? I heard you can pick up sick deals there!

Also does anyone do Motorcycle auctions? I'm looking to do a cruiser again, something on the lines of a Road Star Warrior or even a Busa.

please don't get a titan... they're ******* garbage!

back off topic: Villian, did rollins build your motor?? My friend had a 383 built for his el camino by them, to the same specs as a 383(except his is fully forged) that went into a 70' nova that ran you time NA, and a lot quicker on spray, plus same weight. And I saw that you were in Gainesville so just wondering?

Well my credit union (UCF) works with a company called Auto Wholesale Direct so I contacted them and went to check out what they have on Monday. Let me just say, they are ridiculously empty! With no wholesalers or dealerships selling their trade in and so on because of the holidays the auction had more empty spots than cars. This was the Ocoee Manheim auction. Did find a '00 NBM Vert SS, auto with only 67k miles. I'm sure that went fast yesterday though.

So KC, hows the engine look in the back seat of your new DD?
