Default Turbo v6

Is it a good idea to put a single turbo on a v6 3.8l?
I am highly considering it, I just need some feedback

There are some pretty damn high hp turbo'd 3.8l around, so it's definitely a viable option if you wanna stick with a v6.

i believe theres a website for v6 fbody's that are doing this, also i think the roots blower off the 3800 grand prix's can fit under the hood/cowl..

Jay Leno added a S/C to a 6 cylinder Camaro. If you get a chance to see that episode I am sure you will be impressed, I know I was. The car had 75 more ponies then the LS3 and shaved a bunch of weight off the front end. When you start adding the insurance savings of a V6 and the MSRP difference the project starts to become more affordable besides delivering a few more mpg to the equation.

Won't be cheap. Best route if looking to save money is doing a powerdyne setup. Turbo cost alot more money because you have to change manifolds to do it the right way.

topless-not completely wrong, ive seen it. maybe they used a different unit.. and they can fit. Ive seen one done an LT1, so it has to be plausible on a v6... just depends on budget or fabbing skills. probably cheaper to go turbo anyway.

I would do turbo if I couldn't do a ls1,2,3,4,6,7,9 and x swap. That's if I had a v6 buts it's up to you.
