We received the BMR battery tray today in hammertone. We contemplated just fabbing a tray up with the water jetter, but we're in a crunch for time and are busy working on customer cars as well, plus the discount BMR extended us really made the order worth it - thanks BMR! I have to say, this thing is TOP NOTCH quality. I'll post some pics when I can.

Cool man, thanks!
Hey Kyle, thanks for all of your help...we're definately going to get a shoot together when the car is done and send all the sponsors some shots.
Anyone looking for some really top notch suspension, give Kyle@BMR a call. They're in Florida which kicks *** so everything comes in a day or two and they're always willing to help out! We like to support the local manufacturers and BMR is no exception.
Yeah man, we've got an easy 200 hours in it, most of which is straight LOL. It has definately been a group effort. I am lucky two have 2 great helpers at the shop...

Here's a quick shot of the BMR goodies that arrived yesterday. Also got the Quicktime bellhousing in...don't have to worry about my feet anymore with this badboy bolted in!
Also, check out our custom taillight panel...little filler, some gloss black and some custom vinyl - came together really nice!

Thanks guys!
Little update:
The new wheels arrived yesterday and looked BEAUTIFUL. Unfortunately they we're not the right color/finish, so they went back for final touches...
They're definately going to be badass though and super light!
The new gear set arrived for our 8.8 conversion we're building for this particular project. 4.30 ratio from Motive with the install kit Should put us right at the top of 4th as we pass through the traps with the tire we're running on the back. Our 60' time shouldn't be too bad either. Good stuff.
Also started to install the control arms - they look bitchin!
We're really busy right now so it's hard to wrench on this thing after a long hot day!

Just cleaned it all...im actually going to hit it with some black to give it a finished look.
I sandblasted the upper control arm mounts though, they collected a lot of rust over the years!
PS - your car is almost done! I ordered some pigtails for the swap and got the clutch in today Should be good man.

Hey everyone - quick update. Car is wiating for parts....STILL. Ordered front Strange coil overs from Wolfe Racecraft a month ago and am still waiting. They say Strange is behind. Oh well- they've been good to us so I'm being patient.
Wheels arrived and we're the wrong finish, so I had to send those back. Another 2-3 weeks to have them made, again.
We ordered some steel tubing to complete our 8.8 swap and Alro Steel corporation sent us SQUARE tubing!!! ARRRGGGGGGGGGGG
See, screw ups happen to all of us.

Whats the story on the 8.8 conversion? I've seen lots of people try to do this but there are many problems that arise with assembly and welding. Like the needing of a jig to keep the axles straight when welding, plus avoiding warping the tubes while welding on brackets. Post up some pics of the rear if you got em.

Pics will be available once it is tested and proven to handle the power. Prototype is looking good though!
The fab and welding portion of it are easy. You have to have the know-how and the equipment. It's developing the part so it doesn't fail that is the tricky part. What kind of steel to use, where to gusset, how to make it look good but be functional - that's where the time goes.

We're currently running into some issues with the 8.8 (while we WAIT for the right goddam parts to show up).
We may utilize a 9" for this particular build, but we will certainly continue developing an 8.8 swap kit!! We have found that narrowing causes some issues. Stock width is NOT an issue and can be done with our kit with ease! Just have to tweak it, build it, and sell it.
Got the new wheels mounted and balanced today. Photos coming tomorrow!
