ok, so i am bumping this thread. someone please explain the rumble deal to me. i see that there is a choice of indexes. so we go on a 30 mile cruise on saturday and then head over immediately to the lanes and make three consecutive passes for the average?
how much tech is there? what if we have expired belts? also radial tires as well? transbrakes allowed? does R/T matter?
sorry for all the questions. I read the rules and am getting confused on rumble and the true street stuff.
what is typically the most competitive class/index?

John,
Rumble and True Street are two different classes, although somewhat similar.
Rumble is an index class that runs a traditional bracket. Essentially, you will run a series of time trails (3) and then set your index. I believe your car is a 9.50 or 10.0 car, so you would pick one of those and run like that. You'll be paired randomly in the first round and then by reaction time in the second round. This is a handicap start, Pro tree deal.
True Street is a separate class and that includes the 30-mile cruise and three "rounds" of racing. In TS, you're not actually racing the car next to you (and reaction times do not matter) you're just trying to run either as fast as you can (for the overall win) or as close to an index time as possible. There will be a TS winner for 10.0, 11.0, etc and a fastest overall average.
If you enter Rumble, you get FREE entry into True Street, which means you can race two classes for the price of one. TS is more about the cruise and running well without ANY downtime (no hood popping, no changes, just three back to back runs) while Rumble is more of a dedicated bracket/index class.
It would be GREAT to see you and the car come out, so please join us if you can.

Hey Gator99 (John) we are planning to haul down Andy E's (lastls1) black WS6 for ODR, last year went best of 7.52...
I haven't seen the schedule but I'm guessing eliminations will finish up on Sunday though Saturday would be highly preferred.
