Oct 13th, St. Pete, Ft Desoto F-Body Gathering

There is a group of F-bodies getting together for a Camaro/Firebird gathering at Ft Desoto Park in St. Petersburg FL. Oct 13th 12p till whenever, there will be quite a few camping out for the weekend.

Its open to all generations..

If you are coming from out of town, many of us will be camping overnight. Campsites are filling up quickly so reserve yours ASAP. Here is the phone number to reserve your campsite...(727) 893-9185.

Something else to note is that there is a $5 parking/entrance fee to the park so be prepared.

It's not that I mind the drive. Gas is just expensive and I'm in a long distance relationship so I can't really afford anymore trips. I'll try to make it though it sounds like a great time. Like I said though I just wish there were some legit big events around here.

It takes time to get groups established, then find spots willing to allow/host meets.
If you can get a regular meet going, word of mouth will help it grow,

As far as I know there are zero f-body specific groups anywhere in the south eastern part of Florida. I see very very few f-bodies around here (and even less that are in decent condition). But actually, if you check the any miami f-bodies thread below this one a few of us from the area have discovered each other and are planning to get some small hang outs going as well as going to other meets and the local 1/8th mile strip together. So hopefully we can grow from that.
