Default Car has sat

I am going to look at a camaro z28 thats been sitting for 2 plus years he says it dosnt start but cranks. Is there anything I should look for. I am hoping its just bad gas in the tank.

you COULD run a compression test, but it takes a while and generally if it was so low that it couldn't start, you would hear it in the cranking. An easier thing to do is hook up a vacuum gauge while cranking and check how much vacuum you get and check bleed-off. As long as your base engine is good, it can't be too serious. Crank sensor, wiring, ECM, fuel pump, etc. Bring some starting fluid to spray into the TB to see if it runs so you know if you have a fueling issue. If it still doesn't start, then you have an ignition issue. check the condition of the trans fluid (if it's an auto, a little harder if it's a manual)

He is right. you get what you pay for,
im selling my car if the one your looking at falls through

i doubt its bad gas
my first car was a 1992 lincoln town car with 72k original miles back in 08
it sat for THREE years. hoped in it, turned the key, fired right up. with 3 year old fuel.
check fuel pressure. could be a bad pump

awesome. Just make sure when you repair the wiring that you do it right, or you will have nothing but problems. Especially since 98's have the chipped keys. Solder and heatshrink, not ghetto *** butt connectors. they WILL cause problems eventually. If you don't have the ability/knowledge to do it yourself, find someone that can.

With all that aside, enjoy the car!

We went to go buy the car and the fans arent cooling the car. So it would have to be towed to my house which would push my budget over but besides that and the streeing coulmn the car is good. If any one is interasted in it I can pm you the phone number of the guy. He is in fort laurdale and the car has 64k and he will take 2,500 just needs some work. Car fax is clean as well
