Norris Automotive on Blanding blvd rebuilt my T56 using my Tick performance parts and did an excellent job and I'm super hard to please. I'd trust them with the Auto as well.

I used best trans on Nevada st, Marietta exit since 99', for a few work trucks, 700r-4, turbo 400's & recently the wifes fwd car. They were the first shop I got to do a 400 correctly to hold out to a large panel truck. Treated me fair.

I'll vouch for Mark, he rebuilt the T56 in my S10 and it works awesome.

If you want a shop with a warranty my buddy Todd also does excellent work and is a stand up guy. 355-6040

Just got to figure out what I want to do... rebuild the 4l60 or do a 4l80 6 speed and paddle shift it or a T56 and slam those gears...

Hmmm... decisions... decisions...

No need to do a 6 speed 80 all you are gonna do is spin with the deep 1st gear if your making power over 600 do a 80e and be done with it its cheaper to build a 80 than a 60 for high power apps

+1 on the 80, grab a decent core out the yard, shift kit, good clutches and input sprag are just about all mine has done, if I remember correctly, and its holding just fine, I have put that same recipe into 2 different cars, no issues with either so far... and the turbo car makes 800 wheel....

Glad to know we have a decent trans guy local, I have heard nothing but horror stories around here, about the local trans shops....

Rob you got a line on converters too?

Yeah, the 80 is the way I think I am going to go. I do want a T56 for those days I am pissed and need something to take my aggression out on, and a slamming through gears would do nicely, but I also really like the idea of the 6 speed mod for the 80 and paddle shifting.

A built 80e with a 4340 input shaft will take most anything you are going to throw at it there are always Billet intermediate shafts and forward hubs and direct drums if you wanna get deep in the wallet but a good buuilt 80e with a 4340 shaft is good for 900hp with no probs

I haven't replaced the shaft yet... But maybe the lack of trans brake might play into that... But I'll hit you up pretty soon about getting on me of those if you will do it?
