Grew up there. I don't live there now. Hit the test and tune weekends and Saturday night racing. Go "shop" at Rollins Automotive(performance shop) to get in the circle of gear heads. Hope this helps.

I'm a lurker on here, but I'm in G-ville from time to time(currently in town actually). I've been working remotely for UF from Orlando for a while now, but went to school and lived/worked in Gainesville for many years. Car meets themselves aren't what they used to be here, but the test n tunes are GIR are still pretty decent from what I've heard.
For the most part, it's GM stuff. There are some hard core Ford guys out there. Usually starts a lot of smack talk but, all in good fun. Like said above, the car shows are not geared for what we do. Oldies music and them dumb *** stuffed dolls are the norm, even now. I went when I was there with my 2nd Gen and I was looked at like I rolled up in space ship. I said enough of this crap. Just get out and ride, you'll find the crowd.

Verdad Gallardo Old ls1 in the Ta with 175 shot , its best was 11.9 @ 121mph wile the street tires having a fit with traction . The 2014 1LE was 12.8 @ 111 mph . Soon to have 2" headers night fury cam and 102 intake and throttle body . Shood be faster then . But I will say I am sure it will tear up a road course , its like its on rails on the street .
Me ! Dont trust just anyone under tg hop of my cars . Some of the speed shops in gville are good , but charge way to much for nothing . I would rather do it my self and buy better parts and more parts , than let some yea who touch my whips . Sorry unless its the dealer doning some warranty work , but thats it .
There is only one tunner here , well not here he make his rounds . Dont know his name , KSR , and Rollins uses him . I like the guy in orange county Tony he did JOE's GT look it up on YouTube he is king in my book . Thats where GENSI will go to be tuned when she is done , and then the 1le will go the too .
