Engine/Machine shops near Brevard
Engine/Machine shops near Brevard Anyone know of a good machine shop around brevard? A motor mount bolt broke off in my block. Being that it has 180k miles I've toying with the idea of having the whole thing looked at and possibly rebuilt while I have it out of the car, if there is a good engine shop around.
Also, I've never transported an engine before. Any tips of how to put it in a truck bed? I was thinking of building a wood frame to set it on and then strap it down.

Get a set of easy outs and you can do it yourself. Removing a broken bolt can be simple if you are careful. If not there are shops that can handle the task. If I wasn't so busy I'd do it for free.
I have a set of easy outs, but the bit is not working when removing. The bolt itself appears to be too soft for the amount of forCE requite to back it out. The bit spins inside of it rather the bolt turning.
