Default Florida drag racing weather

I just moved to florida from illinois. I was wondering will my car run faster here than in illinois? I know we are closer to sea level but have more humidity. Can anyone shed some light?

Think it'll depend on the day. The cool dry days in January are a completely different thing than the hot muggy days in July. You'll also have to find a track that does good prep since many of the ones I've seen aren't maintained and spend quite a bit of time flooded in the rainy season

Interesting, I'll have to start hunting. What are the prime racing months here?

If you're in spring hill you have showtime in Pinellas Park as a local track. I've never seen it myself so I can't tell you much about it. If you travel a bit Bradenton has a good track. Or you can always go to Orlando speed world which is one of the better tracks last time I checked. If you enjoy watching then check out the gator nationals in Gainesville in March.

You can try running at the old Lakeland track but you better watch out for the cops since it's an Amazon parking lot now

Lakeland closing came quick. As far as I know the mud bog is still open which is why the complex is still showing up in searches. Here's the story on what happened to the strip
