I didn't know if Wednesday was a good day or if it was crowded. Gonna be hot tomorrow.
Do you know of any local groups that go and race together and book a track? I moved here from the Dallas area and we had TMCCC (Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge) that had about 150 members and raced every Sunday during the season. There were different speed divisions and it was bracket racing. It was just for fun and there were plaques at the end. There was about 5-7 tracks that let us race. We couldn't book the same track every Sunday. Fun times.
My car doesn't fit any NHRA division that I could afford to run in, and be competitive. Good luck at the next race!

Wednesdays at OSW are hit and miss with being super busy or not so busy. Funday Sundays are usually the same unless it's really good weather and they've been closed for a while. Fridays are usually really busy in my experience.

They have a bracket race this weekend on Saturday if you're familiar with that style of racing, if you drive your car on the street it should definitely fit in the Sportsman class and Pro ET.

Where do I find rules for those classes? Thanks
Found them in NHRA rules.
I didn't see anything about hard tire class?

I think the hard tire class is something they do when they run no prep events in the shutdown area or no prep on the track. I don't know any of the rules really, I just assume it's a heads up class with everyone running a hard tire.

Sportsman ET is a bracket class as well as Pro ET. Sportsman is 1/4 mile and Pro ET is 1/8. Sportsman doesn't allow delay boxes, transbrakes, or two steps unless it's on a clutch pedal. Pro ET allows transbrakes and two steps, but no delay boxes. I think the minimum dial in for Sportsman is now 9.00 and not sure there's a max. They lowered it from 11.00 for the Teslas I believe.

The flyer for the event is on their Facebook page and their website with entry fees, payouts, and some of the rules.

Right now hard tire rules are just 400+ tread wear and that’s it.
next race is the no prep tree side may 25th.
I should be there, my goal this time is go at least one round.

Sounds interesting
How do they determine who runs who ? Number draw? Any safety equipment NHRA requirements?
What is everybody running for tires?

Chip draw determines who runs who. They even use it to determine lane choice.

hard tire is so slow they don’t really check anything but I wear a helmet and jacket. My car is a real road trip cruiser so it doesn’t have any cage or other race oriented safety equipment.

im using the cheapest **** Amazon tires I could find. Lots of people like pep boys futura.
mine are 275/60-15 I think.
