Dec 11th race
Ok, I figured it out by looking at my PM's.... It is on the 11th... Thats cool, glad I found out! That would have sucked to miss the event! Well Anyways... I have the SOM M6 SS that is in my sig... I also have a 68 Chevelle that I may take out there but not race.. Its a decent looking car, someday it will be beautiful... when we get the money! My SS is basically stock, except for the lid and exhaust... Im gonna be running the car on Nittos for the first time, Im hoping to break 12's! Wish me luck!
Here's another suggestion. If you don't hook, don't plan on just stomping the gas off the line. You'll have to drive the car to launch it. A good thing to try would be to tap the gas and instantly stand on it once the car moves. I was able to short time a 1.78 with stock tires and a converter. Just takes practice. Enjoy and see ya at the race.
next i did some research on streetable sway bars, i found one made by spohn that has poly bushings so it won't rattle my brains out, will this make a difference in me coming off the line with the nittos or is it a waste of money right now.

The one I was suggesting was an all out race piece. Don't know your goals for the car other than keeping it a street machine. Spohn makes nice stuff so that may work well for you. As I suggested before, it's hard to two different things great (street or strip). Just pick a goal and it will make the decision for you.

Hey Jeff I`m going up to Gainsville this Fri 12/3 for the No Lip Nationals w/silver car to run the drag radial street class. Big Tim is going with, we have to leave by 2:30 for the prerace cruise. Call me tomorrow if you can go.

I had great results! I got my car into the 12's.... 
12.92 to be exact at 109.3 with only a lid and cat back! I had Nittos on the car but I still could only get it to go 2.0 in the sixty foot... It was hooking hard but I dont think the clutch liked the sticky tires... It was either slipping or not engaging right away im not sure exactly... 
Anyways, it was a good day!
