Should I get my car retuned if i put a ported TB on it? It was tuned when it got the heads & cam. Does the TB make that much of a difference? This is my first LS1, so I'm pretty clueless on a lot of things with it. Especially the electronics!!

either is fine. i use vinci's handheld tuner to tune both of my cars. that way i can tune the car whenever i want to. i don't have to pay for a tuner to make changes everytime i do something to the car.

He's almost always busy, so if you call and dont get an answer, just leave a message. He's always either on the dyno or on the street tuning. He definately knows what he is doing, and is the only person I would trust to tune my car. Not to say there arent any other good tuners in fl, but I will go with Jeremy.

Mike Norris Next Level performance is most likely the best in Florida, his 12000Sq Ft shop is in Altamonte Springs near Orlando. He does go down to S Florida once a week to tune in some guys shop down there.

Hey. The way I read it, $1200 for a cam install is high.....the only other clue was "other stuff, springs, etc."

Kind of quick and harsh reply to me huh pal? I didn't flip you off, I flipped off the price for a cam install.

Do something for your attitude. BTW, I paid $700 for a heads/cam/pulley install.

you were even quicker to give the finger towards the price that vinci quoted than i was to you. next time maybe ask what the other stuff is before giving the finger. it's like one of those making a decision with only half the information. most of the time it's the wrong decision.

yeah, nice you flipped of the price of only reading the cam portion of what he said.

If you are a business associate or co-owner of Vinci, than your reaction was somewhat feasible.

If not, then you should keep your nose out of others business (literally in this case) and

Figures. I had no idea you were the sole God's Gift to LS1 high performance. Yup, I'm guilty as charged right there. I'm sure you know what you're doing, but you seem to be a bit conceited to expect everyone to know you're "the man." And it's not like I'm a newb to this either.

And the reaction to my *flip* from you was unprofessional and very unbusinesslike. You're just as guilty, two wrongs don't make a right. And for me, being in business would mean holding to a higher standard. Test failed bro.

I would have said "hey dude, just so you know (and not EXPECT everyone to know) the guy is also getting heads, tune, springs, oil pump, yada yada yada, for the $1200." Clarification, not retaliation, would have gone a long way.

And then list your affiliation. Maybe that would have promoted you instead of otherwise.

But meh, that's just me...

about time someone recognized me as such

you flipping the price off was just as unprofessional. next time, how about this. why don't you ask what that includes when someone puts a price up. it's just way too obvious when the guy writes in plain english (unless you are using a translator) he put
installing a cam and springs and stuff
but you only saw cam. man i guess my mistake there. it's ok for you to pop off a comment like yours, but not ok for me to pop right back at you for not comprehending the post. hmmm, ok.

test failed, huh? it's ok for people to bash at a vendor, but not ok for them to respond in same like manner. just to clarify my position with them. i do not work for them directly. i do independant testing with them. and i pay for parts just like anyone else.

i don't know what it included either. i spoke briefly with joe vinci. all i know it consists of more than a cam install. next time ask more questions before flipping people off. you might go further in life. you fault me, but decide to pass by the mirror and not reflect upon yourself. maybe you should start holding yourself to a higher standard.

try to remember your own saying and live by it.

instead of clarifying what the $1200 was for, you decided to retaliate with a finger smilie.

and just for the record, i would 'stick up' for any other vendor if i knew their reputation. mike norris is one for example. to me, he has a great reputation. he recently took some hits over pricing on helping someone fix their lingenfelter turbo'ed car. he had to come in and defend himself over people like yourself bashing him over his pricing. not bashing him, just the pricing. that gets old quick. whoring the market just hurts everyone in the long run.

Ummmmm, dude, speaking of translator, your grammar isn't exactly plain english itself. I have weaknesses, but my command of the english language isn't one of them.

but you only saw cam. man i guess my mistake there. it's ok for you to pop off a comment like yours, but not ok for me to pop right back at you for not comprehending the post. hmmm, ok.
Ummm, as earlier stated, my flip wasn't towards you. You decided to take it upon yourself to put on the boxing gloves and get in the ring.

Are you sure you speako englisho?

I covered that already. Business ---> higher standard. That's pretty much inferred in most other business practices. Rise above it. Would MTI, Futral or Speed Inc. have responded like you did? I think not.

i don't know what it included either. i spoke briefly with joe vinci. all i know it consists of more than a cam install. next time ask more questions before flipping people off. you might go further in life. you fault me, but decide to pass by the mirror and not reflect upon yourself. maybe you should start holding yourself to a higher standard.
Sounds like a cheesy rehearsed line you memorized, as told to you by someone else.

try to remember your own saying and live by it
I already covered that (see above)

instead of clarifying what the $1200 was for, you decided to retaliate with a finger smilie.
Sounds more to me like you missed a business opportunity there. At least I know where I won't be spending future mod money. Thanks for the heads up.

yeah, me an the keyboard don't get along as well as you and it does. guess the only thing you have going for you is command of the keyboard. got me there. might as well make the best of it. and no i don't speak english. i speak american. damn, i can't compete with you and your dictionary there. so, i better give up.

Sounds more to me like you missed a business opportunity there. At least I know where I won't be spending future mod money. Thanks for the heads up.
i don't work there. so, i didn't miss anything. spend your money where ever you want. it doesn't line my pocket. now, of course, i'd rather you spend it with them. but, you never were going to anyway.

You're just as guilty, two wrongs don't make a right
at least you admitted you were wrong. guess you missed my smilie where i was joking about the god comment. one day you'll jump off that high horse of yours. and someone will kill mine.

Ummmmm, dude, speaking of translator, your grammar isn't exactly plain english itself. I have weaknesses, but my command of the english language isn't one of them.
yeah, me and the spacebar don't get along either. guess you don't read complete sentences either. glad to see you put a period where i didn't. here, i'll finish the sentence you half quoted.

he put
Quote:
installing a cam and springs and stuff

but you only saw cam.
you just keep passing by that mirror. i'll stick to my cheesy lines. why invent chessy lines when you can just steal it. maybe one day you'll learn to ask questions before drawing conclusions without all the info.

we can go at this all night. i'm one of those stupid people. i'll drag you down to my level and beat you senseless with experience.
