Good Deals On All Installs (GROUP PURCHASE INSIDE)
I understand and if they can do quality work that is great for sure. Our experience is that there is a lot more pitfalls with an LT1 versus the LSx engines and charge accordingly. This is why I would prefer to keep the LT vehicles out of this and why we are going away from them. It generally costs more to do about anything on the LT engines compared to the LS engines and that is a big turn off for most folks. Hope it works out well for you.

Wow everyone is skurred of the lt1 these days, humm they seem to not be to bad to those who really know all of the inside out tricks? I guess a few shops will be cashing in on these? I am not bashing anyone either. Mike who do you use for tuning LT1's?
Hey All,
First things first, I will be out of town tomorrow and through the weekend, so do not be discouraged if i do not get back here for a bit to reply.
Toasty,
I was not going to do tunes only, but with enough interest we could for this two week time period. Normal price is $450 and $410 with the 10% discount.
Jpr5690,
Just keep me posted and we ned to get some appointments and deposits made next week.
ifryrice,
We can build the shortblock for you for sure, but maybe e-mail me or call the shop next week so we can go over specifics such as machine work, balancing, components and application.
97blkz,
Not scared at all as we have 3 supercharged LTx F-bodies at the shop now as well as a 383 magazine car we did and a supercharged C4 from Iceland getting a fresh 396 and 4L80E upgrade. It is that compared to the LSx cars, it costs more for the customer and they generally get less performance per dollar so there is at times an issue with cost. Our LTx clients are generally 35 and older and have this as a play toy, meaning they have one or more daily drivers, and they owned since new. With tuning we either suggest that the owner buy a single user LT1 edit to keep and we tune it or we use a gentleman out of the Daytona area that used to work on the Corvette Challenge cars back in the day as well as a GM engineer and the list goes on. We have talked about having him here full time, but nothing etched in stone as of yet.
Hope this helps y'all and if I do not catch this sooner, talk to you next week.

Hey All,
Busy as heck yesterday, so I did not get a chance to get on the board again after yesterday AM.
Vanzrider,
Yes we can tune carb'd performance vehicle's, but not what we usually do. We do not carry parts for tuning them such as different jets, power valves, pump crank arms, air bleeds, timing curve springs, adjustable distributor vacuum advance etc., so it makes it usually a much longer process then the injected LSx engines. Fees vary according to time and parts required so it is hard to say. Most average in the $500-600 area, but some have been as little as $375. One we did was $1000. Wish I could be more specific. Maybe e-mail some info as to what car, engine, what parts in the engine, what exhaust, what carb with part number and see what we can come up with.
Phoenix WS6,
Our normal labor charge for a converter install is $375, the full dyno tune is $450 and a cam & spring install with you supplying the parts $850 and a cam only install is $450. Add together what you want to do then take off 10% for this GP. Thanks.
Jpr5690,
Just give me a call when you are set. Hopefully you will get enough folks on board. Talk to you soon.
