claire, sounds like you got a good deal on insurance rates.

your feelings and opinions are in the minority. people wreck their cars want the rental, money, etc that day. glad to see how patient you are.

Dana and Danny's cars have the stripes on the hoods now. I think my car was still stock there, only lowered. Damn that was a long time ago.
I heard you might put stripes on the car, I personally think it will look better without the strips, I also sent you a pm on another board about an inquiry you had. Hope that can help you out.

I have Esurance, I pay $172.91 a month, this with having 3 suspensions and numerous speeding tickets. Progressive has great customer service however!

Esurance is HORRID. but that is just my professional opinion. i have seen them over and over screw over their customer to save themselves money.

but everyone has their own case by case opinion

And think of this........'if' I sell my place which has been on the market now for 7 weeks with one looker, my rates go down approx $264 a year in NC!! Metlife has been pretty cool I have my home and engagement ring insured by them as well.

As for a smashed car, well we have another car here and well...............no Dealer would be around today anyway.....and I am weird I'd prefer my car be towed to my house anyway. In the case if it were totalled, trust me I'd be pulling my motor, rear and D/S, wheels if they weren't damaged seeing it's paid off. I know I would end up buying the car back after they settled anyway or sticking some used **** parts on it after removing my good ****. Either way, I want those parts for my replacement Fbod

It's nice to have extra parts laying around afterall.

I like how the stripes look but I truly like my car one color. That's why you don't see the bird on the plate or the back Pontiac filled in with decals......I was never one for stickers. It's got enough **** on it with the WS6 badge, vanity plate, and Trans Am logo on the back tail light filler and the sides.

I read your PM and I am going to buy all new stuff but thanks for looking out for me.

Progressive game me a crazy quote of $1200 for 6 months. I currently pay $677 with Metlife with 50/100K coverage.
You say that, until it happens, Wreck today , call your claim in tomorrow and have to deal with it at work or call off, bet we'd have your check in hand today! And a rental ready for tomorrow!

That's okay, the car is paid off and I have another car to drive. It's not like an adjuster is going to stick a check in my hand with a car a Dealer hasn't been able to atleast look at to give an estimate of damages.

I see the Explorers on the road and well, do you honestly think I think they would be able to see if my frame was toast? Seriously, I highly doubt that. Then I'd be back on the phone calling because they owe me more $ to fix it........

Anyway, it's not worth me paying $1200 every 6 months to have a claim settled that day, I pay close to $1400 for the year now.

Rome wasn't built in a day, I can rent a car if I really had to but we have 3 cars.

Humm what a novel idea, wouldn't it be cool if a Co had claims adjuster who carry Cmtptr's that could issue a check on the spot, arrange for a rental and have a concierge type thing???

Dude you aren't going to sell me on Progressive. They may have excellent customer service with claims. But honestly, had my car been wrecked.......I am more concerned about the parts on it and in the motor then settling for book value on something that is paid off. I'd get my settlement but my first concern would be how bad the damage is and how my motor and 12 bolt are first!

I'd prefer to wait a few days to get under the car and see how my **** is first.

Which is fine and dandy. Only for that kind of service it's not worth me paying a Co $2400 a year vs $1400..........I am okay with waiting if something happened to my car.

Not even close to wanting to sell you. Just hate the misinformation your mouth tends to spew! The original argument was if one would like to have their claim settle fast or not!
