jobs in gainesville?? hey, looking for a job in gainesville. ive been out of the navy for a year, moved here from ct 2 weeks ago, ive been trying to get into gru with no luck. any suggestions?? i would love to work for a auto mechanic, but have little experience other than working at an oil change place and working on my own car. i was a nuclear reactor operator in the navy.

I applied for the cop position through city of gainesville, but they want you already enrolled in the program before they hire you. supposedly with a bach degree and 4 years military they can waive some of the reqquirements. I have not seen this however.
theres actually 3 departments in alchua county....gville pd, uf pd, an alachua county SO.....theres several counties such as marion right to the west that are hiring like crazy....id check into that if i were u

I've been in Gainesville for 12 years, and sometimes finding a job is not easy! I worked for Publix for 3 years in West Palm, left with good references, and couldn't get a job at any of the 3 (at the time) Publix stores in Gainesville. One manager told me he had a waiting list of people with the same or higher credentials I had.
I needed the cash for racing & gas, so I once worked at Target collecting carts! I draw the line at working at McDonalds, although I'm sure fast food places can use help.

thats crazy, i actaully had a job at invivo as an electronic tech. i lasted one day there. it had an assembly line attitude where noone talks to each other, or thats how i percieved it. not for me. they also told me after i was hired that it's a mandatory 6-7 day work week. i dont think thats legal, but they're doing it.
hey villian, anything going on at the speedway this weekend? ive been in town 2 weeks and havent made it there yet. also what did you think of your tune? ive seen that guys prices and they're not bad.

This weekend is a 1/4-mile bracket racing night at the track. I'll be there with the Nova most likely...
Jeremy did great on tuning again. I'd highly rec'd him. He'll be back in Gainesvile within a few weeks, and I hope to get him tuning my truck in the future.
