Exactly, those damn bugs we're going to migrate here anyway. UF tried to cross breed Love bugs with mosquitos to create a non-fertile type of mosquito and introduce it to the population to try to eradicate those biting bastards. Didn't work and yes some did escape from the lab and the smear campaign ensued. On a different note, start with a CLEAN car and wax heavily on every square inch of paint, chrome, plastic, whatever is forward facing. When you wash, spray the bugs with water first and keep wetting those areas as you wash the rest of the car(it softens the crap up) and it cleans up pretty easy if you wash the affected areas every 2-3 DAYS, not 5-7 days. Yes, it's a PITA but, it'll keep your car's paint intack. I've played this game all of my life, welcome to FLA.

They are the worst this year as long as I have lived in FL (94-95 and 00-). Wet fabric drier sheet takes the right off. Frequent application of Cajun Shine keeps them from sticking!

hey guys, thought I'd drop this here cause I got some of this stuff earlier in the spring and it helped me survive lovebug season here in Satellite Beach. Spray it on the clean car and the bugs wipe off when you hose it down. Thought you guys might be interested.
Hope it helps!
