is there anyway to find out which license plates are taken in your state? i want to get a customized one, but im guessing that almost all the ones i would think of are taken.

Haven't checked in a while, but I believe in Florida you have to actually visit the DMV to see if it's taken. I'll look around and see if I can find a link. I know they don't "center" them anymore, think they would cause you're paying extra.
