Wondering the same thing. That is the first and probably the last Sunday event I will go to. There were a lot of nice cars but 3 1/2 hours for two runs, just not worth my time.

I ran a 13.45 with my buddy in the car. After the race they stopped me and said to ditch the passenger, and that i have to get a helmet if i want to continue racing. I thought you had to be in the 12s to need a helmet.

we were out there back towards the back near the board along the fence. I ran into Jeff with the supercharged SOM SS and I saw amoretti's WS6 i think along with cavemans GTO. My buddy Ryan were in line he was in front of me with the black SS and he ran a 13.6 my best was a 13.41. the second run i was just tired of waiting and ready to leave so i had my worst time ever 15.08 but my GF was in the car so i took it easy.

When do you need a helmet cause ive ran 13.4 a few times and they have never said anything to me. My friend with the yellow vette they told him he has to wear one and that was before he was in the 12s.

It was an ok day besides the 3 hour wait to get second run in but that supra crash was crazy got in on tape too that guy needs to learn how to let off and take what you get. I may go to another one next month but just not race cause nothing is worse then your GF wanting to leave cause she is not feeling well and your stuck in line for 3 hours.

Yeah, I got there just before 11 and only made 3 passes all day with a 13.6 best. Much room for improvement in the driving department though. I totally agree with it not being worth the wait though.

Now that I think about it, I did see a NBM SS and Black SS by each other, just didn't think anything about it. Oh btw, no WS6 here , but I was the only Trans Am that I saw and definitely the only white one so.. it was probably me.

Post the video of that Supra crash! That guy is a lawyer, so he has enough money to fix it, but damn... thats some nasty driving lol. The Procharged SOM SS With Fikse wheels was .

Other cars that caught my attention:
Iroc Z28 that ran 7's
C6 Z06 running 11's (I think I saw an 11.2 best) stock
C5 Z06 running 10's

haha, Osw can be strange in this regard. It all depends on who is working etc. I have ran low 13's/high 12's with passengers and they didnt say anything. I once ran a low 13 with 2 other people in my car and they got mad and told me not to do that again. I think besides the 3 people in my car, on one other occasion I had only one passenger and ran 13/12ish and they said next time she cant be there. The rules are anything under a 14 or 13.9 you need a helmet. They usually do not enforce it unless you have a really fast car. When I 1st brought my Chevelle, there was this older gentlemen who was working the tree. He said if I ran anything under a 14 that I would need a helmet and long pants/shoes. lol He was a ***** and he sure as hell enforced it too. Besides him though I have never had a problem, and I have since returned and ran 12's and nothing has been said. Usually when youre signing in they will say if your car runs this, then you will need this bla bla bla, but except for that one maybe two times, it has never really been enforced(Atleast not with me ) Although, I think if youre going to run in the fast lane, you may need a helmet regardless.

Everytime I have ever gone to a sun/fun I have only gotten 2 or 3 runs in during the whole day. So I usually never go to them anymore.

i left after my second run, my car was shifting way too early, it looked like it was shifting at only 6100 rpm. i looked at the gauge and i was only running 8 lbs of boost. went 11.32 on that run. i was really pissed cause i wanted 10's. the car has it in it just gotta get Lou or Rev Ex to retune my shift points.

Bring long pants and some shoes just incase, and maybe a helmet too. It usually isnt enforced for the street lanes, but you never know.

OSW is slowly going to get stricter just because they have to. A lot of crashes have been happening lately so its only for your protection. I wouldn't run without helmet. I shouldn't be running without a cage but I am.

I'll never quit being disturbed by folks that complain about safety which is for THEIR own good

If you have a fast car be proud that you have to step up to some big boy rules.
