I may be heading that way, although the fast cars will be at home this time. I'm likely bringing the truck for flogging in I'm hoping to be killer air (68 high/38 low) before the modding begins.

There is going to be a cook out at dyno tune on lem turner saturday. It starts around 2, there should be alot of fbodies there. Last year the lethal injected f bodies from orlando showed up. Stop by some of us are going to gainesville afterwards.

I'd head out but i have to work this weekend. Went out this past wednesday though, ran consistant 13.4's and 13.5's on a humid night at around 103 mph. Couldn't break the 2.0x 60' barrier, would like to hit a 1.9x before a converter goes in.

I saw your car run a couple times Wed. My favorite was when you beat the new Roush Mustang which I think was supercharged?.
I was there running my friends 98 Silver Z28. Yea, the weather was not that good.
I'll probobly go next Wed since the following day I'm off. (Turkeyday).

Weather was fair on Wednesday, amazingly enough a buddy of mine ran a new best et with his car, so while talking to him I broke out my Kestral weather station to see what the DA was. Now granted I'm 16 miles from the track, but at 8 pm it was 1700 DA, which isn't horrible. But I'm hoping for something under 1000 tomorrow night

Ya, I saw that car in the staging lanes at one point. Was an odd night, I think we were the only two f-bodies....and only a few corvettes. But I don't think that Roush was supercharged. It said "roushcharged" on the hood...but I believe roush uses a roots type blower which make a distinctive sound, and I did not here it. I ran him about 3 times that night.....won all 3. Although both our bests were a 13.4 and he trapped about 1mph faster than me. He just had a stick and couldn't launch it just right. My favorite runs were against the red Mach 1. Talked to him before my first run.....said he ran a best of 13.0 stock a year or so ago and now he has some nitto 555's and some other mods (exhaust, etc). I beat him and I think he had a best of 13.7 and couldn't cut better than a 2.2 60' with those drag radials.....can we say driver mod???

In case anyone was wondering:

Air tonight started at 115 DA (feet above sea level) at 6 pm and when I left at 9:30 pm it was -675 DA

Man, 15 seconds seems to take forever, but at least I got a new best bone stock before the truck gets modded a little...

yep that was me in the truck, and yes 5.3L engine. I was surprised at the times as well, but the weather was nice too, plus I'd already run 15.57 before. Yep, got to spank one Honda before a buddy lined up his '06 GMC 5.3L crew cab and we duked it out 15.45 to 15.43

What's funny is that it's those civics that are pushing there cars through the staging lines instead of having it running......which the car will warm right up to temp when waiting to stage and the burnout, lol. And they're also the ones airing down there front RADIAL street tires down in order to gain more traction . Then they're the ones that actually do a burnout IN the waterbox. Sometimes it's just too hard not to laugh out loud......I guess all that work makes it worth it to drop from an initial 17.2 to a 17.0, lol.
