Moroso!!
Moroso!! I went to the track tonight and after watching a 11sec T/A blow his motor all over the track they shut down for about an hour. During that time i walked over to one of the track managers and asked him if they were really closing for 3months to completly redo the track and a new tower. He said yes they are they will be closed June,July, and August. Finally the track will be decent again and he said they are also redoing the road course.

For the dragstrip, I used to show up early for TNT (when I had the the SS), run a handful of times, then leave, before the vht thinned out.
As for the roadcourse (the reason why I go to Moroso now) - it's in OK condition. Facilities are horrible however (compared to 5 star Homestead's roadcourse and paddocks), so any renovation would be welcome.

Word I've gotten from quite a few "reputable" people (and I used to race there quite a bit):
Track will be raised up 8 inches (I'm assuming to help with the water seeping and such), current tower will be knocked down and a new one will be built 100 yards back. 1/8-mile concrete done.

With all due respect, there is a lot more to track prep than VHT. If you use TOO MUCH VHT you will have traction problems. They need to drag the track with the tires to get rubber down(they have this equipment, they just dont always use it) also they can use rosin(did I spell that right?) right at the line like a synthetic rubber. VHT is only part of the answer. When Moroso drags the track with rubber, use the rosin at the starting line, and spray with VHT the track will hook!

Heck, it will be nice to just not have water soaking up through the track anymore. lol
I have to say though, they have done a few nice things the last few years, bathrooms, grandstand and other "fix me ups". Glad they are getting around to the track finally though.
I will miss the tower being there though. Kind of funny when the Jet truck lights it up.

Maybe people will be able to get decent 60's now. I know I would drop from 1.76's to 1.59's going to bmp. Plus all the workers there have an attitude problem thats been there for years.

all the workers at moroso got fired. My friends dad knows the guy that just bought it. I talked with them....you guys will LOVE the changes that are happening
