you will be taken care of. make sure they know who sent ya down there. its the ONLY place i will recomend as so many others of my friends (and myself) have been ripped the hell off getting junk and blowing it up. its worth to get it built rigth the first time versus breaking tranny after tranny.

Steve... listen to both of those guys and get the car to Tampa, you wont regret it!!!!

I will Third who they referred, and it should say something that people know who was referred without mentioning a name.

there is not one tranny builder worth a **** in port charlotte or ft myers area that can build a real 4L60e. i grew up there. its a joke. if you want a hill billy build you something that is worse than stock, i can give you plenty of shop names lol

i really appreciate your suggestions but i cant dish out that kinda money not including the stall.. im sure he is the best but i just cant afford it (believe me i wish i could)..

the un-named seemed very knowlegable(sp?) and 100% confident with his trannys...

as im typing this im kinda changing my mind and i may just go with him.. but ill have to wait a few more weeks so i can afford the extra cost...

damn im stuck between a rock and a hard place

well i think i oficially made up my mind and transmission physician is the way im going.. after talking with fernando and seeing the waranty im going to be getting i know he is 100% confident with his work and from the multiple refrences ive gotten i know his customers are 100% satisfied as well....

he is going to be rebuilding my tranny, installing a 3600 vig
and throwing in some 3.73s

its gonna be like a totally diff. car going from a stock stalled tranny with 2.73's
to a 3600 stalled 3.73 beast... i cant wait.. (im gonna be broke but i still cant wait)

ohh and i talked to jeremy formato today and he is gonna retune my car while im up in tampa.. it looks like things may come together perefectly

i wonder what kind of quarter mile gains im going to see..

thanks for all the info and ill be sure to post up with an update

i told ya they would take care of you. i know TP and Formatto on a personal level. i welcome those people into my home and they are the ones that have worked on my car. look to my sig, the car moves out.

you are in good hands. as for your car being a totally different car lol/.

bro, you have no idea. in fact its going to be so different i want you to PM me or post when you get it all done b/c i want to see you get on the throttle for the first time after the tranny, converter, and tune. IMO there is no worse combo than the 2.74 stock converter ls1 feel. you will love it. it will hammer

Check my sig. You should be in the low 12s with that setup. I too am going to Transmission Physicians and have been saving for a couple of months now. I can't wait! I am going to be sending my car there beginning of Feb. I have had plenty of time to have it fixed by someone else or to do a 4L60E swap but have instead just kept saving so I can have it done right the first time. DEFF. POST HOW IT GOES! ALSO HOW IT FEELS!
