Default Threw a DS on the Dyno

Driveshaft came loose on the dyno today. On the 2nd pull at about 6400 the thing popped. Thank god no one was hurt.

I'm going to need a yolk, driveshaft, DS loop, tailshaft housing, and torque arm. Hopefully I can find these parts locally.

A big thanks to the guys at CM and JF for being so understanding.

Now that's a bitch. Might want to check the guy doing
business as spacecoastmotorworks (?) on ebay, seems
to always have fbody stuff and I think he's in Bithlo.
Get an aluminum driveshaft for sure.

I have a stock and a Random Tech adjustable TA both
sitting around.

Yeah, Im really sorry man!

Ed and I were talking about it the whole ride home...
I just cant believe what a mess everything made!
At least you werent racing, or driving around town,
cuz you could have easily catapulted the car off the road,
and killed yourself!

...we didnt end up getting outta there till midnight!
Poor Jeremy! __He felt so bad for you....

damn dude that was you? I was on the phone with jeremy right after it happen. Just be thankful the driveshaft didnt seriously hurt him or others. The car can be fixed but its hard to fix a missing limp or a dead person.

let me see what kind of parts i can get for you.

Yea man.... I don't what to say. When I saw that happen MY stomach dropped. Good luck finding the parts. I'm sure Chris will be more than helpful in that department.

Yeah I felt like an *** yesterday. Ran into the fence backing out like a goon. The damn car was mint for a year, until a basketball hoop fell on it and then all the stuff that went down yesterday.

Again, I'm just relieved no one was hurt, it could have been a lot worse than it was.

Hey but I appreciate any help on parts and such. It seems like everyone that I've met through this site is cool as hell. And is trying to be as helpful as possible. Hopefully I can somehow return the favor.

There was a Mythbusters episode where they broke a drive shaft to try to dispel the pole vaulting car myth. At 15mph they ended up driving the DS through the trunk of the car lifting the car a couple feet.

Lucky the thing didn't come loose doing a top speed run or something, would be a lot different at 155mph.

I did noticed on my seat last night there was a tear on the *** cushion. That must of been where Jeremy's ******* pinched off a piece of my leather.

Dude -- Im laughing so ******* hard right now!!!! hahaha
When Jeremy walked into the office, he looked pretty calm,
considering what had just gone down!
I think he probably checked his pants before he continued through
his night though!

Yeah I actually just got the car back on the road a couple days ago. I ended up taking it home....., replaced the driveshaft and Torque Arm and had my Tranny Built. Now there are some tuning issues that I have to sort out,but I should be taking it to the track tommorow night for a test run. Wish me luck ;x
