Default moving to Orlando area!!

Hey guys, I was recently offered a job in Lake Mary, Florida. I've never really ventured outside of Texas and don't know what to expect. Does anyone live in or near Lake Mary? What's it like?

and more importantly are there any good LS1 shops in the area, I'm bringing my Trans Am with me

any input at all would be appreciated
Thanks!

What's Lake Mary like? It's not ghetto is it? Is it a new community, still developing?

What about the senior citizen population Don't want them calling the cops about the T/A.

Its not ghetto its pretty small town but surrounded by others so it blens in cause you have Sanford and longwood around it. there are tons of places to eat and stores on the main road lake mary Blvd. and then most of the houses are on Lake emma road which is a nice street. there is not many or any bad parts of that town.

Where are you going to be working at housing can be expenisive if you go for heathrow or timacuan subdivision but out side of those your looking at about 300k for an ok 3 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage. you will not have any land in lake mary houses its kinda like one big subdivision and the maine street through the muddle. you can get on google maps and use the hybrid view to see the area.

The address for the office is 300 Primera Blvd. As far as houses go, no way I can afford one at the moment. I will be graduating college next week so I'll be looking for an apartment. Can you recommend any nice apartment complexes, preferably w/ a garage?

primera is a nice area, lake mary is more on the developed side of things. Seminole County has some of the most expensive property in central florida. It's a good area to live in, raise a family, good schools, ect. Only place I would really consider a "ghetto" around lake mary are some spots in Sanford but other than that it's your typical suburbia. O-town is a few minutes away and Daytona Beach is 30 minutes away, well hopefully it will still be here when you arrive. I must like it, I keep on moving back

Do you know the name of his apartment complex? I pay about $850 now for my apartment so $950 isn't too bad if I get my own garage.

Thanks! I found the complex on apartments.com, and they do in fact have personal garages. The company in Florida said they're going to have someone contact me regarding my relocation needs, hopefully there will be more complexes w/ garages to choose from.

How does your friend like the Ballantrae apartments?

There's some apartments/townhomes ... might want to look at Colonial Grand ... a little pricey, but, it's where a lot of the daytime employees live in the area. They have about every range you might need in apartment accomodations.

Married or single, this is where you probably want to be:
