Default Cam Regrinding

Anyone know of any good shops down in south florida they'd recommend to get thier cams regound?

um......... you cant regrind a cam.

but you can buy blank cams from gm and have a reputable company like comp grind you a NEW set for your redline.

Your car sounded good. You can definately tell its no TPI or TBI.

What kind of exhaust?

You can regrind a cam. Maybe not for a pushrod but for an OVC motor you can. I know COMP does it but I would rather drop a set off someplace local then to have to ship them out and wait and what not.

You can only grind a cam smaller. Why would you want to do that? Just buy the cam you want instead of trying to save a buck with some ghetto crap.

lol well you see. I drive a saturn. See the little blue thing with stickers on it in my sig, yeah, thats my car. Aftermarket = crap. There aren't any cams for my car that fit off the shelf. We have to take either a cam blank and grind it, OR we can regrind the cams to out specs which I would hardly call ghetto.

How can making a cam smaller make it better?

Yea it sounded like a muffler not raw exhaust.

Crane Cams In Daytona Beach can regrind it for you. Call 386-252-1151 ext. 14208 Ask for Jerry.

does it have an ecotec cause if it is you damn sure as hell canget cams for it. just thought id let you know i dont who to get them from but i know a guy who has a ss cobalt and he got aftermarket cams for his so im sure you can yours is supercharger too isnt it .

The ECOtec heads are the same in design but the sensors for the LSJ 2.0 are in different locations so if I use a cam from a 2.2 my Cam Positon Sensor wont work. The SS/SC has the same engine as me but idk if your refering to an SS or an SS/SC. The SS has a few cam profiles out for it.
