my 04 does not have the flex fuel tuning tables so its not flex compatiable. Its not the same as gas tuning wise.

Also, I dont have a servicable fuel filter. Its in the tank and a part of the pump assembly.

Hurlburt AFB is the one place in the panhandle that has E85, and it's only for Gov't use.

carl your truck doesnt have a servicable and removable fuel filter? wtf? that makes no sense since you SHOULD replace your fuel filter ever 30K miles.

as of a few months ago, there were only 2 E85 pumps in FL, one at the Cape and one private outside Tally. But there are now 12
E85 is a ******* joke. You get the same power, but 40% the fuel economy, and it costs roughly the same right now as gas. You are paying for piece of mind of a renewable fuel source.
If you MUST use that ****, fret not, there is a E85 processing plant being developed outside ATL as we speak, and FL should have some pumps soon.
In any event, it is simply a gimmick in 90% of the US, but in the midwest it is cheap/plentiful, and using it gets you a nice tax break!

Theres been more than 2 for quite awhile now, most are just non-public pumps.

Im hoping they get an E85 pump here in Orlando soon cause I want to convert my car to it. All of you in here bashing it saying theres no power gains but you use 40% more are wrong. Theres proven gains up to 15hp, its around 30% more fuel consumption, in some states it only costs $1.90 a gallon, cleans your engine and supposidly better gas milage with less negative engine work. Dont believe me?

E85 is tremendous source of fuel that will keep us independent of foreign oil plus help out local farmers. before spouting at the mouth, do you understand WHY you get less fuel efficiency with this fuel? and do you realize the potential power it can make? i can run VP C16 in my yukon and it will run like ****. make low power and cost a ton. thus, its a pos fuel right?

Actually, the price isnt going to be any better. Youre going to pay for it other ways now that corn is in high demand. Have you seen the price of meat andf **** lately. Talk to Mike @ Mafia about it. Hes a chef and sees the prices already skyrocketing.

If the price doesnt go down, then whats the difference? Thats the whole point of making our own fuel, to keep costs down.

Doesnt work like that. We can make all the e85 we want, the cost of oil/gasoline wont go down due to the increase of consumption both here in America and China/India.

Gas is going to continue to rise...period end of story get used to it. Yes I know it sucks.

No Im not. The point of E85 was that its made here for cheaper. It is supposed to be cheaper than foreign oil/ gas and also better for the environment (I think). If E85 isnt any cheaper (and its not going to be) then whats the point? The price of corn, beef, chicken, etc has skyrocketed because of the corn demand now.

About the prices going down, I ment E85. Not gas, but in theory, if they had more E85 stations and it was as readily available as gas then the demand would be a whole lot less for gas since the US is the biggest user of it... BUT since its all big business/ politics, I dont think we'll ever be nondependant on foreign oil.

Hence why I only buy my gas from BP and don't buy Mobil1 oil. I'm only one person but screw them.
