My camaro RIP
The other day I was stopping for a red light when this guy behind me nailed my car. It sent me through the intersection, and when I got out it didnt look as bad as it is. My driver seat broke, both rear quarter panels, bumber, gas tank, rear panel, all destroyed. I thought it could have been fixed, however once I got it to the body shop, he informed me that both of my frame rails have been bent. The only way to fix it would be to clip the entire rear end of the car and find another rear end off of another camaro and weld it all together, and because of this, the insurance company has totalled it. I know I will not get anything near what it was worth, nor will I get back enough to get another SS. I will be going out there to pick up some stuff off the car that I will sell. I have a SLP grille, black halo's, and 4 17x9.5 black Z06 rims. Once I get these off the car later this week I wil be selling them if anybodys interested.

sorry to hear about this.
If it truly is totalled, see what you can do about keeping the car, its not worth much to an insurance agency but that thing is worth alot in parts or you could do a hybrid like a fox body mustang with yoru motor/trans etc for cheap.

Well its not the body shop that actually totalled it, the guy at the body shop is a friend in the family, and he builds show cars from the ground up. He said he could for sure fix it with no problem, but the insurance company is the ones who considered it totalled. It was going to cost right around $12,000 to fix. The problem is that the insurance company does not repair any type of damage that requires clipping, and that is how they would have to fix it. They said its too much of a liability to take a new rear section and weld it to the old front end, and thats what 3 different insurance companys said. I think its bullshit though.
The stealth box was completely crushed unfortunalty, so I cant get that. The rims have no damage to them, they still look new, but im not sure about the tires yet, Ill let you know in a day or two. The halo's and grille are also in great condition, and I am also going to grab the SLP lid too. Ill see if I can get that pro 5.0 also. I will come up to sonic next week after I get the parts if anybody wants to see them in person.

I am in the Atlantic Blvd area in Jacksonville. The front tires need to be replaced pretty soon, they have about 20% tread life left, but not sure about the rear yet. Im looking for about $300 for the set.
