i just updated the list.
im sorry that some are having technical difficulties.
please check to make sure that i havent left anyone out.
there may be a few from another board, but i havent gotten
any messages from them yet. so at this point we still have
25 spots open.

 

i dont know if everyone heard what i am also working on.
there is a LaQuinta Inn close to the track and im going to
see about getting a group rate. i know that there are a few
coming over from Panama City Bch. and wont want to drive
back home after being in the sun all day.
i hope to have these #'s by Tuesday night. so let me know
how many rooms we need. some of you guys can bring a
sleeping bag and share rooms, to split the costs.

yeah la quinta up there is good, right near hooters, outback etc. within drunken walking distance.....they should give a group rate, we gto guys have rented the track several times up there and always get a group stay at la quinta.

 

Mark said that we are going upon Thursday afternoon and
staying until Saturday morning.

can you say broke after that weekend. that pay check will be gone
very fast. gas, hotel, food, etc.
i am getting so pumped for some good old fashioned racing.
now i just have to get Mark to get that clutch done in my bird,
and ill be ready to go.

dont forget to bring your coolers with plenty of ice and drinks.
im actually thinking about bringing some sandwich stuff for a quick lunch,
and some peaches/nectarines.

So is this gonna be a GM only track day or are we gonna let a few people with different cars to come to lower the price and pick on alittle?

 

i would like to get as many GM Products, other than bikes, as we
can before we open it up. there is another board, but i am waiting
for another week to invite them. i know of 2 dodge trucks already.
if we can get more than 50 cars, then it will definitly lower the price.

sorry i didnt get to check out the hotel $ today, had some family
stuff to deal with. i will try to get it tomorrow.

Mark had better get that pay-pal account set up, i have to take
them the $$ by Aug. 2.

i also have a delima that i need help settling. as of now the
spectators are free, but if we charge $5 a person, then i can use
it to get a few trophies. i would like to do that so we can award
them to the best r/t, quickest time, most consistant and a best
looking, (that will be judged by the track officials). im trying to
make this more interesting.

You guys let me know your opinions, please?

You may want to double check the drunken distance from Valdosta hotels to Cecil/Adel racetrack (something like 15 miles I believe), plus the rumor circulating from quite a few racing circles is SGMP is up for sale. You may want to check on that.
