a question on tuning and nitrous control i was just wondering if there is a way for the stock ecu to control nitrous?? the reason i ask this is i was just talking to a friend of mine with a honda and with a chipped stock ecu they can control nitrous, boost,an adjustable 2-step and much more just wondering if efi live or on of the ls1 programs has these capabilities?? this would be nice and eliminate the need for a window switch and WOT switch

im not comparing the two i was just wondering if is able to be done since with efi live you can do almost anything...and you dont really have to hack anything crazy on those cars.. and if it were simple on ls1 cars why wouldnt you do it

The short answer is yes you can, you can do dam near anything you want with the GM PCM if your creative and know how things work. With EFI Live you can store a second tune only for nitrous in your PCM that is activated via a switch, and you can use other output signals from your PCM to activate your nitrous when and where you want to.

hpmotorsports is correct. Not that hard to do running EFI Live's Custom Operating System #5. No "Hacking." Just run a wire from the pcm red connector, pin 56 (which is unused in a stock OS), to a on/off switch with the other side to ground. When grounded the following timing and fueling modifier tables are applied to the commanded tables. Two tunes in one.
