block diffrences

block diffrences ok so i came upon a free 4.8l/5.3l motor today. all i want to know is is the block capable of being bored out to a 6.0l or larger. i was thinking the 6 has the same block so it should be fine just has a smaller bore to start.

Bored out no, they cant really be bored past 5.7
Not sure if they can be re-sleeved up to a 6.0, but at that cost it would be cheaper to be a 6.0 block.

706 and 862's came on the 4.8's and 5.3's
the only way you can tell the difference between the two engines is
the 4.8 will have a flattop piston and the 5.3 will be dished.
